Antique Quilt

I finally picked up my antique quilt while I was over in Tasmania.
...It's just gorgeous....
What do you think?
It was made in the 1930's and has over 3500 pieces of fabric in the tiny triangles. The wadding is sooooooooo fine it's nearly none existent.

Evandale Workshop July 2008

Hi everyone.
I am home from Tasmania.
What a wonderful few days I had over there.
My sister Marg and I flew into Hobart on the Wednesday afternoon.
I spent Thursday with the girls at "The Quilted Crow" then drove down to Launceston Thursday night.
Friday morning was spend setting up the hall...
"Saturday" the "Big" Day.
All 70 ladies and tutors had a wonderful time.
The tutors on the day were :- Vivienne Roberson, Brenda Ryan, Joy and myself.
I even had the time to caught up with Lillian from "Esme's" in Kings Meadows on the Friday afternoon.

Sunny Stones Retreat

My few days are up at "Sunny Stones" retreat was fantastic....only 10 minutes from home....lol.....BUT what a way to spend the weekend...with great company, sewing, reading, drinking and eating.
Vivienne (a good friend of mine) and her daughter Lou organise the weekend every year for a small group of sewing friends.
We arrive on the Friday afternoon and don't leave the place until the mid- day Sunday.
We all get a goodie bag full of surprises and giveaways all weekend.
The theme this year was "Pink" so we all had to dress in pink for dinner on the Saturday night....
As you can see in the above photos...."Dame Edna" graced us with her company....lol.

The new name for my quilt is.........

THE TOY SHELF
"LET'S PARTY"

It's time to help me with a name.

Hi everyone.
I have nearly finished my quilt, just need to add the borders!!
Now I need a name.
Put on your thinking caps and send in your ideas. Sorry for the urgency but I need a name by Tuesday 8th July, before I head off to Tassie.
Which ever name I love will be the winner of a "free" pattern of the quilt.
Thanks for your support.
I am really looking forward to see what you can come up with!
