I am off to America on the 1st of October for a month on holidays, I will spend the 1st 2 weeks touring around Orlando, Miami, Las Vegas, San Diego and Los Angeles with my hubby then I pack him on a plane for home and greet my sister in crime for another 2 weeks !!! yippee !!!.
Marg and I will be spending up big at the Houston Quilt Market for 3 days then fly up to Atlanta and work our way back down through Moultrie and New Orleans.
I am getting very excited and nervous at the same time....
I am taking my laptop with me and hope to find the time to keep you informed with photos of my trip.
This has been in the planning for over a year and an extension of my 50th birthday in January....what a year and what a birthday, wonder what they have planned for my next one...lol.. this will be hard to beat.
Please take the time to scroll down and have a look at my latest designs and what I have been up to.

Warrnambool Workshop

Once again I spent the weekend down at Fragrant Cottage in Warrnambool doing "All My Santa's" Quilt Christmas Workshop with a great bunch of ladies.
On the Saturday we did fabric painting on the top panel of my quilt, Sunday the Applique trees in varies forms of Applique.
My passion is needle turn applique which is very time consuming, so it was very interesting to see the ladies whipping up their blocks on the sewing machine using blanket stitch applique and a "little" raw edge applique.
On the way home from Warrnambool between Camperdown and Colac I just had to stop and take a photo of the "Dry Rocks Walls" which run for miles along the sides of the road edging the paddocks.
I know all you crafty people out there can appreciate the skill, time and labour in these beautiful fences.

New Projects

"Cuppillar"
To your left.
I have finally finished stitching the last in my bed runner series and sent it off to the quilters.

"Birds of Paradise"
Thanks to the ladies who helped in the naming of this quilt, the birds are appliqued on last so its a fun bright, cheery, easy quilt to make.
Hope you like it .

"Ducks on Parade"
In this quilt there are nine appliqued and stitched ducks in 5 different styles
and colours. Once again its a funky, bright, fun quilt to do.
They are both at the quilters and will be launched at the AQM in November in Melbourne.
