Back From Tassie

Hi
I am just back from a workshop in Hobart at The Quilted Crow. What a wonderful day had by all.
The setting, company and food were divine.
It was my 1st visit to Deirdre & Leonie's shop in their new location "Newtown" a gorgeous little suburb only a few minutes drive from Hobart. The shop looked fantastic and well worth the visit if you are ever in the area.  Set in an old church filled with old suit cases, cupboards & pidgeon holes housing fabric, kits & threads.
You do forget how beautiful Tasmania is until you go back and see the rolling hills, old houses and quaint shops.
Thanks to all for a wonderful day......I had a ball.
Cheers
Kerry

It will be held at their shop which is set in an old church, it looks divine, so numbers are limited.

Here is a peek at part of one of my projects that I will be sharing with you on the day.
All will be revealed on "The Quilted Crows" blog a few weeks before hand.
Hope to see you there.
Cheers for now.

Hi everyone.
I have been up to
Shepparton "Anam Cara Patchwork Shop" ,
Cohuna "Quilting Group",
Geelong "The Blanket Box" ,
Horsham "Quilting Group" and

I am just excited waiting on two of my four new quillow designs to come back from my quilting friend Vivienne "The Passionate Quilter" in Gordon.
I will then only have to take photo's for the front covers and they are done.
One for the little boys called
"Out Cruzin".
One for the little girls called
 "Secret Garden".
One for the new babies called
"Hugs & Kisses"
this pattern will have 2 patterns in one. Boy & Girl design.
I will update the photos as soon as they are done.
Until Then Take Care.

Cohuna & Warrnambool

"Cohuna"
Hope you are all fine.
I have been busy with a couple of workshops over the last few weeks, one up in the country at Cohuna and the other one down the beach at Warrnambool.
Cohuna was a fantastic weekend gathering of approximately 90 like minded women. With the home-made food and the friendly country women it was the makings of a great 2 days. There were 4 of us teaching a variety of different techniques, Robyn Falloon, Annette Blake & Lessa Siegele.I was teaching my speciality, fabric painting. The girls all did a brilliant job of their chosen panels, picking and mixing different colours to match their fabrics.
Great job girls!!!!!
"Warrnambool"
My sister Marg & her 2 boys, Oliver & Jonah came with me to
Warrnambool for the weekend.
I had a great day on the Saturday with 8 very enthusiast students
at Fragrant Cottage. Thanks girls for your patience & great sense
of humour on the day. A good day in the end had by all
On the Sunday myself, Marg & her boys spent a day exploring Port Fairy. I have been down that way numerous times BUT have never had a good look around, so we parked the car & walked. We walked along the river down to the beach, in & out of the shops and finished with coffee & cake. (which we didn't really need) lol... Then back to Warrnambool to our other sister's for a lovely roast dinner.
Thanks Vic it was yummy ...

"The Light House at Port Fairy"
I will tell you all about my great weekend up at
"Sunny Stones" in the next few days, until then take care.
Cheers Kerry

Warraknabeal Workshop

My stand at the Bacchus Marsh Quilt Show.
Hi Everyone.
Hope you are all well.
I have been busy and a tad slow updating my blog...sorry.
Went to Warraknabeal for a workshop back in October, the same weekend the local patchwork group held their quilt exhibition. The local girls asked me to have a stand at their show and of course I said "yes" before I checked my diary.....so I had 2 places to be at on the same weekend didn't I ....lol...BUT a good friend of mine Vivienne came to the rescue and worked the stand at the local show for me on the Saturday.
Gail Pan and I traveled up to Warracknabeal together and had a great weekend.

Yarragon Workshop

My 3 projects for the weekend.
The patterns are now available.
Santa's Helper.
A Christmas Ball with 4 different painted panels.

Gift Table Placement Bag.
Gail, Viv, Amanda, Me and Natalie.
Some of the ladies hard at work.
What a wonderful day had by all at Candleberry Country's Workshop in Yarragon.
The tutors for the weekend were Amanda, Viv Robinson and Gail Pan.
The venue is a quaint, cosy hall, fantastic food and a bag full of goodies, what more could you want.
All my projects had a small section painted, so I conducted a mini fabric painting class. What fun the ladies had, most were worried that they couldn't paint BUT by the end of the day had their projects done ready for the stitching and very pleased with themselves.
