Apologies for my absence since christmas but our year got off to a rocky start when my middle 'baby' had a bad car accident in early January and we have only just come home. I have spent every day for 8 weeks at the hospital and between the stress and travel I have not had time for sewing or anything related! We are fortunate that Beau is making a great recovery, but as the doctors never ceased to tell me 'its a long road'!! He amazingly still looks like him even though he broke every bone in his face and is now full of metal; he has some deficits in his memory from post traumatic amnesia and a damaged shoulder. We still have doctors appointments and rehab nearly every day of the week but we are home and getting on with things and for this we are grateful. We are going to celebrate the New Year from March 1st - the day Beau came home!
Sitting at the hospital I did have my sketch book with me and started designing a few new projects. I am going back to my sisters tonight to my sewing circle so as soon as I get a bit of stitching done I'll share a snippet with you. Hopefully within the next few days. So until take care.
Cheers
Kerry

So very sorry to hear of your son's accident. It's a blessing that you have all been able to be with and support each other - that alone is sure to help speed the recovery process. Take your time and get back into quilting / designing when you can - use it initially as your own stress relief mechanism as there will be plenty of latent stress around and in you (unfortunately I know)
Blessing to you all and a quick, full recovery prayer to Beau
Kerry I'm really sad to hear about your son's accident. I wish both you and him well and that he continues to make a good recovery. It's really rough being a Mum at these times (been there and done it). Your designing and stitching will provide great comfort for you even though it will be really slowed down for a while. Try to have some 'me time' and ask for help when you need it.
Sorry to read about your son's accident... Glad that he is back home. I hope things start to settle for you and him.
Hugs

Children who would have them....lol...no one told me we would have to worry about them for the rest of our lives...lol.
BUT what would we do without them.
Thanks for you thoughts and prays.

I am very shocked to read about your son`s bad accident.....How terrible!! But I think, at the end of the day you are really grateful to have him ....I am always worried about my family, because my husband`s brother died in a car accident 4 weeks after his wedding with 24.It happened many years ago but it is always present...
And you are right, we worry about our children all our life, but what would we do without them...
I wish you and especially your son a good recovery process!
so glad to hear beau is on the mend..even though it will be a long road...you are so lucky to still have him Kerry..hope all is good with you.....and beau continues to recover more every single day...
Thinking of you and your boy xox
